The 18th ITMA Textile and Machinery Exhibition was held in Barcelona, ​​Spain from June 20 (Thu.) to 26 (Wed.). Since its debut in 1951, ITMA has been held every four years. The ITMA, which is called the Olympics in the global textile industry, attracted 1717 exhibitors from 45 countries and about 120,000 visitors. This was the largest number of exhibitors and visitors who participated in the exhibition in it’s history. Visitors included a large number of fashion-related companies, college and research personnel.

636 of the exhibitors participated came from the finishing, spinning, weaving, dyeing and printing, knitting and garment sewing segments. There was clear increase in the number of participating companies from the Digital Textile Print (DTP) sector.

This exhibition was attended by a large number of KISCO staff including Mr. Kim Heung-Joon (Chairman), Dr. Cho Sung-Yong (CEO), as well as representatives from our dye business department, color materials business department and research teams. Staff from the Dye Division introduced KISCO’s innovative products and dyeing processes designed to enable the sustainable growth of the textile industry. This included meetings with over 80 companies, including distributors and actual buyers. KISCO’s upgraded position as a ZDHC contributor and its role in the future of that initiative was a frequent subject of discussion. The Color Materials Division also focused on sales and technical meetings with existing partners as well as meetings with new partners and prospects.
